NASA Astronauts Read Favorite Magazines from Laptop Computers at International Space Station

San Francisco, CA (July 29, 2004) - Zinio, LLC, worldwide leader in digital magazine production, distribution and circulation demonstrated there are no borders when it comes to reading your favorite magazines -- even from space. Flight Engineer and NASA ISS Science Officer, Mike Fincke, who will spend a total of about six months aboard the International Space Station (ISS), uploads digital issues of his favorite technology magazines to read on his laptop computer using the Zinio Reader.

Fincke, a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Air Force and NASA Astronaut, began his first mission in space as an Expedition 9 crewmember in April. The Expedition 10 Commander, NASA Astronaut Leroy Chiao, also has requested his favorite science, technology, news and automotive magazines be digitally delivered from Zinio, when the Expedition 10 mission to the ISS begins in late October.
