But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV) WHEN YOU SEEK God’s guiding presence, turn to this beautiful Bible verse which assures us that God’s power works best when we are weak. Our own shortcomings can either defeat us or make us aware of God’s strength. Invite Him to turn your vulnerability into an opportunity to increase your faith and experience His power in your life. true richness

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:8–9 (NIV) HOW DO YOU define wealth? Is it the balance in your bank account or the type of car in your driveway? True richness is not measured in currency, but in experience, compassion, forgiveness and faith. True richness comes from your relationship with God. If you don’t feel wealthy, list the many priceless blessings you have that money can’t buy. calm the chaos

And He said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:3–4 (NIV) LIFE DOESN’T ALWAYS make sense. You can get frustrated and weary trying to figure out why something happened, or how God could allow it. You can drive yourself crazy mulling over ways to fix things, or you can put your focus on having genuine child-like faith. Heavenly Father, help me to relinquish control and lean on You! infinite faith

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand forever. Isaiah 40:8 (KJV) AS THE LEAVES turn into a magnificent display of brilliant hues, which slowly drift downward leaving behind beautiful silhouettes of bare trees, we are reminded that life is finite—and that all living things at one time or another will wither and fade. It is our faith in an infinite God who promises life without end that helps us to see the autumns of life not as endings, but as beginnings. Heavenly Father, help me to see the autumns of life with hope, knowing that every ending is the start of something new. REFLECTIONS…

new blessings to come

Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62 (NIV) AS SURE AS day follows night, as inevitable as a sunset, change is part of God’s world. Be open to new opportunities that come with change and make an effort to gracefully navigate life’s changes. Stay calm and ask God for help adjusting to new circumstances—ask Him for hints of blessings to come. Heavenly Father, help me recognize a new season of blessings. REFLECTIONS…
