EASY & fab This past February, when we were dreaming up this issue, our editors and designers talked about the many things we love about Thanksgiving: How holiday dishes taste so much better together, as part of a big meal. How the aromas of turkey and pie trigger all the good vibes. And how excited we still are—even after pandemic and economic disruptions changed how we cook (more simply, more rebelliously, more frequently, and often much smarter)—to pull together memorable feasts with family and friends. The Thanksgiving theme that eventually emerged yoked together some seemingly opposing ideas: We wanted a big, delicious meal that is easy on the eyes and also secretly—or not-so-secretly—easy on the cook.
