What do you want to learn? I met designer and shop owner Jen Kingwell of Torquay, Victoria, Australia, several years ago at Fall International Quilt Market in Houston. Fellow designer Sue Spargo introduced us. Sue had encouraged Jen to attend so Jen could introduce her quilt patterns to a wider audience. I knew from the first meeting that she was someone readers of American Patchwork & Quilting® magazine would want to get to know. A few years later, we are now featuring Jen in our pages. A global pandemic didn’t allow for international travel so the information-gathering challenges were great. Writer Lacey Howard had to battle significant time-zone differences to conduct an interview and art director Elizabeth Stumbo had to arrange for Australian–based Mel Savage to take photographs.
