I’M WRITING ANOTHER EDITOR’S LETTER IN AN OFFICE BUILDING THAT IS EERILY QUIET. This is the third one I’ve written during the pandemic. Most of my coworkers are still working from home, and those of us in the office are social distancing and wearing masks when away from our desks. The pace of mask making hasn’t changed either. It’s still a popular activity and new products—see “Mask–Making Made Easier,” below—have grown up around it. One 2020 change in American Patchwork & Quilting® magazine was the addition of the column My Most Cherished Quilt, on the last page of each issue. When I approach a maker about participating, I don’t pick the quilt or suggest a topic. The maker decides. Sometimes the quilt is chosen for sentimental reasons. Sometimes it is based on…
