You will notice a certain theme about this issue as we’ve gone veetastic with all our feature bikes—and no, that doesn’t mean a magazine full of Harleys, although two very different Milwaukee V-twins have slipped in. But we also have a Honda V-twin, a Yamaha V-twin, a Mack V-twin (turn to page 46 to find out just what that is) and, for the sake of muscle, a V-4, too. Now, of course, mention the phrase ‘V-twin’ and the first name to come to most people’s minds is Harley-Davidson whose name has been inextricably linked with this configuration for over a hundred years. hitting the peaks with the trike guy!

To celebrate this new step in The Trike Guy’s rise to become the top trike dealer in the UK, Phil Knowles and his fine crew had thrown the doors open to everyone, complete with free burgers, tea and coffee, as well as real ale and, later in the afternoon, a rockabilly band. The Trike Guy is a Rewaco main dealer and to mark its close relationship with the German firm, Rewaco founder Harald Schmitz had come over from Germany to celebrate at the opening, along with some key members of the Rewaco team. The Scout Bobber Twenty and the limited edition Scout 100th Anniversary will both mark this anniversary with the Scout 100th Anniversary model being limited to just 750 motorcycles worldwide. The special anniversary edition takes styling cues from the original Scout, highlighted by its striking paint scheme of Indian Motorcycle Red with Anniversary Gold trim and a colour-matched Scout 100th Anniversary badge. The bike’s finishing touches include a solo seat in Desert Tan leather, black wire wheels, beach’bars, luggage rack and chrome detailing. dirt diggers#3–the charm

The Dirt Diggers crew are nothing if not enthusiastic. Hardly has the dust settled on this year’s event and they’re already up and running organising DD#3 – ‘The Charm’. As you’ll have seen from last month’s coverage, this is a great event, open and welcoming to everybody; their byline ‘We Race Anything’ means if you’ve got a bike and you want to race, the gang will pull out all stops to accommodate you. But be warned, it is a popular event, and even with 13 classes and 15 riders per class, entries still fill up remarkably quickly - they only opened last month and some classes are nearly at their limit already, with nine months still to go! goodbye london motorcycle museum

We are much saddened to report that the London Motorcycle Museum closed its doors forever on Monday 7th October. For the last twenty years—it celebrated its anniversary in May—the museum has been the only motorcycle museum in London with a collection of over 200 British bikes, including many prototypes and rarities. However, in 2015, the museum’s landlord, Ealing Council decided to reduce its rates subsidy resulting in a yearly rates bill of £30,000. Not only that, the council backdated the demand, presenting the museum with a bill over £10,000. Founder, Bill Crosby (who also used to run Reg Allen Motorcycles) has done his best to fundraise, even selling off some of his own bikes.
