Check out Chef Jorel’s tips on creating your own perfect burger—and top it off with some local condiments, featured on p. 69.As for the other half of the equation—beer—we tell the stories of three local brewers who just happen to be female in a male-dominated biz (p. 54). If you want to see some future Olympians in action, travel to Copper Mountain this month to watch the national championship of the United States of America Snowboard and Freeski Association. The 12-day USASA championship is the culmination of more than 500 snowboarding and freeskiing events held at about 120 resorts across the U.S. and features more than 1,800 young athletes in the largest such competition in the world. Events include halfpipe, slopestyle, slalom, giant slalom, boardercross, and rail jam. Wonder if these kids are the real thing? Consider this: 100 percent of the 2014 U.S. Olympic Snowboarding Team and 75 percent of the U.S. Olympic Freeskiing Team got their start with USASA. Watching the best do their stuff is a perfect way to close out the winter ski season.usasa.org…
