sup   foiling

pick the right Spot Pretty straightforward… if you’re a beginner, learn to Foil on the uncrowded breaks (which are worse of course) or find a quiet canal or river! If you’re an advanced SUP Foil surfer, go where your skills can be utilised! But, if you’re Foiling in a beginner’s break, don’t get agitated by the beginner’s as you are in their ‘training ground’. share THE WATER The ocean and waterways are for everyone and a peaceful co-existence for all is vital for the future of SUP and Foiling. Courtesy must prevail in all encounters! control YOUR EQUIPMENT Whether on a wave or paddling out, always remain in control of your equipment. Never let go of your board or attempt a move that could endanger a fellow surfer. JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN CATCH EVERY WAVE, DOESN’T MEAN YOU…

chloe   walkerdene

CAN YOU TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOURSELF (WHERE YOU GREW UP, WHERE YOU LIVE, ETC…) AND WHAT YOUR BACKGROUND HAS BEEN PRIOR TO STAND UP FOR THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN LIVING AWAY FROM THE OCEAN? My name is Chloe Walkerdene. I am a young Stand Up Paddler from the Gold Coast. Growing up, and before I got into Stand Up Paddling, I was involved in lots of sport, such as, touch footy, volleyball, running, gymnastics and surfing. I was always doing something and was always competitive. There was no game I played where it could “just be social”. If there was a team, I wanted to be in there. If there was a comp, I wanted to compete. If there was a race, I wanted to win. I have always had…

CAN YOU TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOURSELF (WHERE YOU GREW UP, WHERE YOU LIVE, ETC.) AND WHAT YOUR BACKGROUND HAS BEEN PRIOR TO STAND UP? Well, my name is Sophie-May White, I am 15 years old and I currently live in Point Cook, Victoria, Australia. I’ve not spent my whole life in one place, I have lived in multiple countries so have learnt all about different cultures, religions, traditions and more. I was born in Marbella, Spain and my parents and I moved to England where my little sister was born, then we moved onto Dubai and now we live here in Australia. Before I took up SUP I used to take taekwondo, gymnastics and rock climbing lessons. I feel that these sports really helped me to improve my flexibility…
