sonny daze kicking back with the kids

Life’s a beach for sports star Sonny Bill Williams! The 34-year-old showed off his im-pec-cable physique last week as he took his wife Alana and kids – daughters Imaan, five, and Aisha, three, and son, Zaid, 18 months – for a dip at Kingscliff Beach in New South Wales. The former All Black – who recently signed a $10 million two-year league deal to play for the Toronto Wolfpack – announced in September that he and Alana were expecting baby number four. With baby Zaid, the super-private pair kept the entire pregnancy secret, stunning fans when they announced his arrival on social media. But as they basked in the sun last week, a glowing Alana appeared happy to show off her growing bump. Devout Muslim Sonny recently showered praise on his wife, posting…

editor’s note

It’s the week before Christmas, the time when panic-buying, excessive list writing, menu anxiety, flocking to heaving malls and the eternal search for wrapping paper and sticky tape is in full swing. But strangely, I feel calm. I’m not going to engage in the Nightmare Before Christmas madness. I’m determined to glide towards December 25 with a serene smile. All is calm, all is bright! Well that’s today’s theory. And by the time you could prove otherwise, I’ll be camping in the Coromandel with family, friends and the joy of no phone reception – putting the pressure of Christmas well behind me. My determination to remain tranquil was tested this morning when I found out my husband’s trip to the butcher to order the ham two weeks ago ended with the purchase of…

pitter-patter at the palace kate & william’s baby news

Dazzling in a floor-length velvet navy gown and stunning Lover’s Knot Tiara, the Duchess of Cambridge looked every bit the princess as she attended a lavish Buckingham Palace gala evening last week. With her husband Prince William at her side, a beaming Kate positively glowed as she arrived at the glamorous Diplomatic Corp annual reception, which is hosted by the Queen and attended by 1000 international dignitaries. The white-tie engagement is usually the final major undertaking for the royal family before they head to Sandringham for the Queen’s traditional Christmas – and after a nightmarish few months, there’s no doubt they’ll be breathing a collective sigh of relief as they step out of the public eye. But for parents-of-three Kate and William, there’s an extra-special reason for their smiles this festive season, with…

brad’s mum blasts ange you’ve put my son through hell!

It’s the season of joy and goodwill, but Angelina Jolie has received an early Christmas message from the family of her soon-to-be ex-husband Brad Pitt – and it wasn’t sugar-coated! There’s no denying life’s been difficult for Maleficent siren Angelina and Ad Astra hunk Brad since their marriage imploded in 2016, but caught in the crossfire has also been Brad’s beloved parents Bill and Jane, who over the past three years have seen virtually nothing of their six grandchildren. In addition to missing out on watching Maddox, 18, Pax, 16, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 11, grow up, insiders say the deeply religious couple have been devastated by Angelina’s “constant public slamming” of their son, and this festive season Jane apparently decided enough was enough. Angelina, 44, has been…
