katy blooms

Baby she’s a firework! After her exciting pregnancy reveal last week, pop superstar Katy Perry took to the stage at the Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup final in Melbourne for a showstopping performance. The “Never Worn White” singer showed off her growing bump in a variety of colourful costumes, with her back-up dancers dressed as giant cricket bats! The 35-year-old then travelled to Bright, a small town in Victoria, and put on a concert for men and women who have been fighting the Australian bush fires. Katy wanted to show her support in person after seeing the “very apocalyptic” fire scenes in California. She shared with the crowd, “This is exactly what my hometown looks and feels like. (But) We don’t have any pies in the USA!”…

ed’s letter

As far as swansongs go, it was an absolute knockout. The Sussexes’ “victory lap” in the UK before their departure from duties as senior royals has created some of the most gorgeous pictures I’ve ever seen of the lovebirds. With coordinated designer clothes, handsome Prince Harry and his dazzling wife Meghan wowed fans all week. That photo of the pair grinning and gazing at each other under an umbrella is one of my all-time favourites. The final engagements have been a reminder of just what an amazing asset Harry and Meghan have been to the monarchy, and will give us all some lovely lasting memories. But photo ops aside, it was also a melancholy moment for the monarchy. Those of us who have followed Harry since he was a little boy feel…

a bond forever broken wills & harry’s emotional goodbye

One year, nine months and 19 days after their lavish Windsor Castle wedding, Prince Harry took his final bow on the royal stage before turning his back on his family and title for a new life in Canada with Meghan and baby Archie. Solemnly taking his seat alongside his beaming wife at Westminster Abbey for the annual Commonwealth Day Service, the 35-year-old seemed barely able to muster a smile – his sadness mirrored on the faces of his royal relatives, the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and his grandmother, the Queen. If royal watchers had expected a show of family unity at the Duke and Duchess of Sussexes’ final outing, they were surely left disappointed. “There was a feeling of real sadness to the occasion,” told an…

signs of troubled times

British body language expert Judi James says Harry’s “tension and sadness” was clear as he made his last appearance in the UK before beginning his new life in Canada. She explains, “His unsmiling facial expression was matched by his self-comfort rituals of a partial arm barrier and then the clutching of his wedding ring – suggesting where he now sees his support and comfort.” Judi said his lopsided smile as he entered the abbey suggested mixed emotions and high anxiety. His smile became thinner as he greeted William, and he was seen staring ahead reflectively with an “accelerated blink rate that can suggest holding back tears”. Another expert, Blanca Cobb, said William and Kate’s body language displayed negativity towards Harry and Meghan. She tells, “The greeting seems lacklustre among the four of them, particularly…

meghan’s hollywood makeover

Determined to show the world just what the monarchy will be missing out on, a glowing Meghan made sure she was looking her Hollywood best for her final royal outings. In addition to a vigorous exercise and diet regime, the former actress is believed to have undergone a string of cosmetic procedures in the lead-up to their farewell tour, reportedly checking in for weekly sessions with one of Vancouver’s top plastic surgeons, Dr Eric Pugash. As well as having eyelash extensions, permanent make-up and her eyebrows microbladed, Meghan is said to have had a series of micro-needling facials, otherwise known as “the vampire facial”. Meghan is also said to have had Botox around her forehead and eyes, and lip fillers for a fuller pout. The source says she’s thrilled with the results and…

is the duke being duped?

Prince Harry was said to be left red-faced last week after it emerged he’d been the victim of a hoax. The sixth-in-line to the throne allegedly accepted phone calls from Russian pranksters posing as teen activist Greta Thunberg and her father, and spoke at length about his decision to leave the royal family. “I can assure you, marrying a prince or princess is not all it’s made out to be,” a man reported to be Harry is heard saying on one of the calls. “But sometimes the right decision isn’t always the easy one, and this decision certainly wasn’t the easy one, but it was the right decision for our family, the right decision to be able to protect my son.” In two phone calls, lasting 45 minutes, the man believed to…
