Rory Stride’s approach to the furniture business he set up three years ago is as laidback as you might expect from someone who started by making massive audio speakers for nightclubs while he was still at school. He wasn’t particularly keen on woodwork back then, he explains: the academic requirement to talk about why he made what he did stripped all the joy out of it.
