Having never been to the Wild Coast before, I was lucky enough to visit the area twice in as many months this year. It is tough travelling on dirt roads to get to some of the coastal nature reserves, but the stunning scenery is worth every bump and flat tyre. The beaches of places such as the Silaka and Hluleka nature reserves are, quite possibly, some of the most beautiful in the world. And the things you can see in the wilderness areas and along hiking trails in the Mkambati Nature Reserve will take your breath away.
