I REFER to the advice of Mr Du Bois (The Mercury, June 1) that our courts begin to become serious about our corrupted officials in government, in a Nuremberg-Trial manner.
The earlier-famous trials, on closer examination, later became notorious in its one-sided viciousness by the Allied forces and also resulted in aiding the establishment of the state of Israel, constructed totally on the basis of sympathy and pity.
But I agree that alluding to that strict trial of war criminals, places the sordid, and sorry, hamstrung, shackled, ineffective, castrated and totally emasculated state of our own South African brand of a justice system in clear focus.
No election, no coalition, no promises, no written undertaking by wannabe-leaders next year will help at all.
Unless some head-rolling occurs!
For all role-players…
