IF YOU PRINT IT, THEY WILL COME SCHOOL’S IN! Print it out! When a new school was being built in Madagascar last summer, the construction site looked a lot different than most. That’s because a 3D printer was used to build the structure! The printer poured a cement mixture in a pattern over and over again to create the walls. In just 18 hours, the school was standing. And when the cement dried, a crew came along to finish off the building by installing a roof, door, and windows. The 3D-printed school is only the second of its kind in the world, and it’ll be used as a classroom for 30 university students. But the organization that built this one is just getting started.
