Most of the madness came in Detroit at the tenth stop of the Championship. If you missed that round I recommend you find a replay. Long story short, a tight track with loads of 180 degree bowl turns made for some of the closest racing we’ve seen in years in both the 250cc and 450cc class and with animosity between riders at an all-time high, there was carnage. THE CREW BEHIND Aus-X Open Supercross have gone global and secured the FIM Supercross World Championship under the banner SX Global. The Australian company will promote and manage the Championship with financial backing from Mubadala Capital who are very serious and very big hitters in the investment sector. The championship will kick off with a “pilot season” starting in September this year and run over five rounds, ending in November. From 2023 onwards, it is proposed the championship will expand annually between June and November. SX Global will issue just 10 team licenses to independent owners with each team able to field two 450cc class riders and two 250cc riders. Two wildcard entries will be issued at each round to fill the 22-rider grid which also presents racing opportunities for local riders. SX…

THE 2022 DON River Dash is set for the weekend of September 9-11 in Bowen, Queensland. The two day event has competitors racing through three laps of a 50km course that takes in the varied terrain of the Don River with the same format again the following day. That’s 300km of action-packed racing in a stunning part of Australia. Three-time Australian motocross champ Dean Ferris won the Dash in 2021 and thoroughly enjoyed himself. FROM THE CREATORS of the Australia ’s hardest Enduro race, The Insane Ride, the guys at Hard Enduro Tasmania are proud to announce their latest venture, the Tasmanian Hard Enduro Championship series. The series kicked off on March 6 in Swansea at Mayfield Estate during the first ever Spoke Motorcycle festival. Mud was the battlefield during this first round after significant rain fall in the week leading up to the race. “Because we love a challenge. YAMAHA HAS ANNOUNCED the forthcoming arrival of the new Tenere 700 World Raid. Available in Australia early in 2023, the new Tenere 700 Works Raid model is coming with the CP2 two-cylinder 689cc EFI engine, 6-speed transmission, dual side-mounted fuel tanks with 23-liter capacity that can offer a range of up-to 500km. The improved ergonomics include rally inspired styling with a two-piece seat and a 5-inch colour TFT display. There’s an Ohlins steering damper with 18 damping settings that works in unison with 43mm KYB forks offering 230mm of travel.
