THE ART OF TIMING
Most in the photographic community in Australia will have heard of the death of Tim Page in August. Without a doubt, Tim was one of our greatest ever photographers, and famous for getting so close to the action in Vietnam he seldom used a long lens. You can read our obituary to him on page 14, but if you’re not familiar with his work, you’ll soon see he had an almost telepathic ability to identify the decisive moment, over and over again. As a result, he captured thousands of fantastic images over his lifetime with, at last count, more than 750,000 in his archive in NSW.
