It might not feel like it, as it’s pretty wintry out there, but love is in the air! It’s our Valentine’s issue – and to celebrate, we’ve got famous astrologer Claire Petulengro’s heart-warming tale of how she was guided by spirit (in the form of a crow) to meet her husband-to-be on p12. If you’re looking for love yourself, then our scent-sational feature on p48 explaining how to attract romance through fragrance could come in handy! February is also the month of Imbolc, the pagan festival to symbolise the reawakening of the land. You can reawaken your own creativity with the help of your personal Imbolc goddess – find out how on p52. It’s time to put your feet up with a cuppa or hot chocolate and enjoy your favourite mag. funny girl

Becca Gow, 32, from Belfast As my phone pinged with a Snapchat photo, I knew who it was before I even opened the message. Lisa – my silly sis! She was 32-going-on-12, always having me in fits of giggles sending me goofy faces, with her eyes crossed or tongue poking out. ‘Your phone’s broken again,’ I’d say when we Facetimed each other and suddenly Lisa’s image froze. Then I’d notice the corners of her mouth creeping up into a smile and realise she was pranking me. I was the youngest by just 14 months and we’d always had a special connection. Growing up we’d been thick as thieves, playing tricks on our big sister Kelly-Ann. But me and Kelly-Ann were tomboys and Lisa was the girly girl, Little Lady Lisa. When she wasn’t looking, I’d sneak…

angel wings

A couple of days after the funeral, I walked into Olivia’s bedroom to find her sitting on the edge of her bed with a huge smile on her face. ‘Is everything OK, darling?’ I asked, puzzled. She’d hardly stopped crying since her mother was killed. Her reply left me reeling. ‘Auntie Becca – Mummy is standing right next to you.’ I felt the hairs on the back of my neck prickle. Was Lisa’s spirit really in the room with us? ‘Come here then. Let’s give her a hug,’ I told Olivia, sweeping her into my arms. I thought I could feel Lisa’s arms encircling us too. Reckless crime The results of the police investigation into Lisa’s death were sickening. The Audi that killed her was being driven by a joyrider called Martin Nelson. He had over…

from the heart

Sally's reading Dear Sally My husband Vic passed away a few years ago and has really left a hole in our family. Can you tell me if he’s OK and if he thinks it’s time for us to put away his shirts? June Warren, Wickford Dear June What a lovely photo of you and your darling husband Vic. So sorry to hear he has passed, leaving such a huge hole in the family. I really sense Vic in your home with you. I especially sense him in a room that is not used very often so this could possibly be a spare bedroom. Vic tells me that he is concerned for you as he wants you to continue to get out and about and make sure that you’re as mobile as possible. He wants to tell me how…

what’s in your spooky snaps?

Ghostly visitor Dear Sally ur beautiful dog Chester gained his angel O wings on 2 November 2019. Next day on the Sunday evening I took a photo of my daughter sitting at the living room window. We have noticed that we have a visitor in front of my daughter. Could it be Chester? Julie Millar, Kiliwilling, Scotland Dear Julie I think this is a manifestation of spirit. The little girl in the picture is waving and the spirit is waving back. I get the name Maria. Above the image of the woman with the dark hair is a grey mist and this is where the spirit has appeared from. I sense that the spirit is connected to someone that comes from a Mediterranean background such as Spain or Greece. It is a very nice warm…
