tv treasures fetch high auction prices

Collectors of pop-culture artifacts struck gold recently as a pair of auctions held by Profiles in History brought in more than $7.5 million. Among the items were Lynda Carter’s star-spangled costume from the ’70s TV series Wonder Woman, which sold for $132,000; her accessories brought in an additional $96,000. “It far exceeded what we expected,” Joe Maddalena, CEO of Profiles in History, tells Closer. “The Wonder Woman material has always been very scarce.” Other offerings included a trademark leather jacket worn by Henry Winkler as the Fonz on Happy Days and Barbara Eden’s signature pink harem costume from I Dream of Jeannie, which went for $54,000 each. “It’s a testament to the characters,” says Maddalena.…

“I’M THE KIND of person who wants the people around me to be comfortable, to laugh and to have a fabulous time,” says Rizzoli & Isles alum Angie Harmon. “I want them to be as happy as I am.” But it’s hard to imagine anyone being happier than Angie, 47, was on Christmas morning, when her boyfriend of more than a year — Days of Our Lives actor Greg Vaughan, 46 — popped the question…and she said yes! “Marry, marry Christmas,” Angie wrote on Instagram along with a picture of her new blended family, which she calls “a modern-day Brady Bunch.” Angie has three daughters from her marriage to NFL veteran Jason Sehorn, while Greg shares three sons with his ex-wife, actress Touriya Haoud. Says Greg of Angie, “Our ability…

how she’s getting better with age

WHEN SHE WAS filming Netflix’s Gypsy a few years ago, “I was having to apply makeup two to three times a day and spend hours under hot lights, and I was really suffering from rosacea,” says Naomi, 51. “It was making my life miserable. My skin was just saying, ‘Leave me alone.’ ” Instead, she co-founded Onda, a line of toxin-free beauty products that go easier on middle-aged skin. “For many women, from their mid-40s, life can become more complicated — aging, hormones, anxiety, sleep,” says Naomi. “I’m fully on board with admitting that it takes a lot of work and commitment to stay sane.” She’s doing just that, thanks to her new attitude. “Menopause should not be a dirty word,” Naomi says. “We actually have wisdom and compassion that…

● WEDDING BELLS On Dec. 21, Younger star Hilary Duff, 32, and singer Matthew Koma, also 32, tied the knot at their LA home, with her TV co-star Molly Bernard and actor Christopher Mintz-Plasse officiating. Meanwhile, skiing legend Lindsey Vonn, 35, proposed to her fiancé, NHL star P.K. Subban, 30, after he did likewise in August. Said Lindsay, “Men should get engagement rings, too, and this is what P.K. deserves.” ● MAKING HAY If you’ve got the straw, I’ve got the time. To mark the season, Virginia farmer Beth Bays eschewed making a snowman to create “Will-Hay Nelson,” a 15-foot-tall hay sculpture of Willie Nelson. “The basic shape was easy and only took three bales to do,” said Bays, who “had to make a nose out of chicken wire because Willie has a…

the women who loved him tell all

With his brooding blue eyes, his silken voice and a naughty swivel of his hips, Elvis Presley seduced a nation. But while millions swooned over his records and lined up to see his movies, only a few women intimately knew the real man behind the legend. “Elvis was very down-to-earth,” says Priscilla Presley, who met the star at age 14 and married him seven years later. “He made me comfortable.” He could have had a different girl every night, but Elvis preferred to have one special someone in his life. “He wasn’t a one-night-stand kind of guy,” Michael St. John, a friend from Elvis’ Hollywood days, tells Closer. “He always seemed to be searching for a true love that just seemed to elude him.” “He was so confident but vulnerable, because he…
