The Western Australian government has committed $22.6 million in funding for 83 projects across metropolitan and regional roads. The upgrades will target black spots on roads – sites that have been identified as in need of upgrades either through their incident history or a road audit. The upgrades include road modifications, installation of safety barriers, installation of raised platforms and upgrades to street lighting. An additional $6.3 million in funding will also be allocated to help support the projects.
