“We know you love an edit of THE BEST NEW BAGS, SHOES and JEWELLERY.”FOR THE PAST FOUR YEARS, I’ve had the privilege of being a judge for the National Designer Award, and what I love about the award, which is part of the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival, is that I meet upcoming Australian fashion designers and get to spend quite a bit of time with them, getting to know their design aesthetic as well as their business approach. They are all so passionate, talented, creative and ambitious — qualities, frankly, you need in order to survive in this cutthroat industry! Congratulations to Anna Quan, Lois Hazel, Kloke,Third Form and Exinfinitas on being 2017 finalists, and a big congrats to Kacey/Devlin on taking out the top prize. This year in…

Christy Turlington Burns in “Christy Conquers All”, page 104.Stephanie Darling A well-established figure on the Australian beauty scene, Darling, who is currently beauty director at Sunday Life and Daily Life, has compiled a career’s worth of insider tips and anecdotes in her book, Secrets of a Beauty Queen. In one of its most memorable chapters, Darling, whose sense of smell is something of a calling card, details what happened when she lost it. Read the extract on page 152. My favourite iconic fragrance is … “I can’t choose between Chanel No. 22 for its astonishing green freshness, and Frédéric Malle Portrait of a Lady for its jaw-dropping blend of rose essence, patchouli and smoke. It is bewitching. ”The products I like to carry in my handbag include … “Shiseido Liquid…

SYNCHRONICITYOften over the years, BAZAAR has covered stories that have served to endorse a way I think or behave or like to look. You have pleasantly surprised and comforted me at bizarrely appropriate times. The March issue did that again with the wonderful images of “Ready for Anythingon BAZAAR ” a photo juxstaposed with “The Demise of Dress helped Codes”. I have been reigniting my‘blended’ style lately after many years’ departure and was supported again by you in this choice. Then I came to the Jackie Kennedy article [“The Allure of Jackie”]. I am booked to see the Jackie film next week and there again were your timely images and words, but not as a rehashing of what I may have read before. You gave me snippets of private insights…

The humanitarian, marathon runner and original super’s wardrobe runs deep and wide, reflecting her decades as muse to designers from Karl Lagerfeld to Calvin Klein. So she can do red-carpet fabulosity with the best of them (witness her in Marc Jacobs at the White House Correspondents’ dinner last year). But she seems most at ease in her off-duty uniform of soft, fashion-forward separates (see her Prada masterclass on the cover), paired with her signature yogic radiance and perhaps a tote from her charity, Every Mother Counts. ON THE COVERPhotographed by Norman Jean Roy. Styled by Kristen Ingersoll and Juan Cebrián. Christy Turlington Burns wears Prada top, $2050, and pants, $1620; Tiffany & Co. ring, $17,200, and bracelet, $24,500. Hair by Serge Normant; makeup by Virginia Young at Mam-NYC; manicure by…

My style is colourful, comfortable and eclectic. I am a sucker for anything GOLD [1]. Everything about LOEWE [2] is perfection. For makeup, I like to keep it as NATURAL [3, 10] as possible. Karl Fritsch is my jewellery idol. I adore the RAWNESS [4] of his work. I love the inspiration behind everything at PRADA [5, 8]. This OIL [6] is the best. I can’t go past MARNI [7, 9] — it’s not too serious, which is refreshing. This BAG [11] is perfect for a day out on a boat or travelling for work. These JEANS [12] cost a small fortune but I have worn them to death. My favourite coat has furry pockets that look like GHOSTS [13]. I’m obsessed. GYPSY WATER [14] perfume symbolises the way I…
