Trying to find words to describe the start to 2020 we’ve had due to the bush-fires ... well, where could we possibly begin? From the billions of innocent animals believed lost, to the human death toll, to the decimation of livelihoods and homes … many of us are experiencing a form of post-traumatic stress and profound sadness we haven’t encountered before. For those of us who live in cities, there’s also a survivor’s guilt of sorts. Never before has our future felt so uncertain. In a matter of days, we’ve had to accept that our old world has gone and we’re now in uncharted waters. One of my favourite moments from Paris fashion week back in September last year was when Stella McCartney previewed her most sustainable collection to date, announcing…

CAMERON STEPHENS Stephens was hurled into modelling success after being scouted at a casting call for Khloé Kardashian’s Good American campaign. She got the gig, and a contract soon followed. The Sydney-based talent compares her whirlwind rise to a dream, but says it can be taxing. “Models have a lot of mental and physical hurdles to overcome every day.” She attributes her strength to the women in her life who have inspired and shaped her. Outside her family, she looks up to activists Greta Thunberg and Malala Yousafzai. “They have been fine examples of using their platforms to strive for positive change and promote meaningful discussions, transcending barriers to educate generations,” she says. Catch her showcasing her personal style on page 80. Fearless, to me, means … “going after what you…

rosie huntington-whiteley

She’s been modelling since the age of 16 and now, at 32, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is one of the world’s most in-demand faces. But, as she tells BAZAAR, she’s only now entering the stage of her career that she’s been working steadily towards. “I’ve been focused on working as hard as I can to get to a point where I can do my own thing.” And that she has, with a popular lingerie line for Brit retailer Marks & Spencer and her own beauty website, Rose Inc. — a project that works seamlessly with her new role as the face of Hourglass cosmetics. Her off-duty style is classic: she’s obsessed with Bottega Veneta and pairs her favourite pieces (the buttery leather Pouch, the softly padded Stretch sandal) with low, square necklines,…

STYLE My style is quite CLASSIC AND BALANCED. I like colours that mutate into one another and SILHOUETTES that are LONG and quite LOOSE. I’m really a sucker for VINTAGE, because I like to dress in things not many other people are wearing at the moment. My favourite designers are Dries Van Noten, Céline (Phoebe Philo era), Prada and The Row. All of them do classic clothes that will LAST A LIFETIME if you look after them. Maybe they’ll go in the back of the closet for a couple of years, but they will always come back out. I have a lot of piercings in my ears so there are so many options to change things up! Jordan Askill is a good friend of mine and he makes stunning jewellery that…
