One of the questions we always ask the quilters we interview for Meet the Maker is ‘How would you describe your quilting style today?’. And very often, they’ll come back with an answer along the lines of ‘I don’t really have a particular style’. Which is something I totally relate to! There are some quilters – particularly when they’re in business and are marketing a brand – who totally fit in a certain niche. It might be paper piecing or fussy cutting or hand piecing or applique as the technique they’ve mastered and are promoting. It might be their intricate machine quilting they’re known for.
