sony launches ultra-compact rx0 ii camera

Sony has announced the launch of the RX0 II ultra-compact camera, which it claims is the smallest and lightest premium compact camera in the world. Building upon the waterproof/dustproof, shockproof, crushproof and ultra-compact qualities of the original RX0, the latest model offers internal 4K recording, an adjustable LCD screen that tilts upward 180 degrees and downward 90 degrees and that even works underwater, and new image stabilisation solutions for video recording. The camera features a 1.0-type stacked 15.3 MP Exmor RS CMOS image sensor and a BIONZ X image processing engine that offers enhanced colour reproduction. It has a Zeiss Tessar T 24 mm f/4.0 fixed wide-angle lens, with a shortened minimum focussing distance of 20 cm. It boasts an Anti-distortion Shutter of up to 1/32,000 seconds and can shoot at…

panasonic launches hybrid bridge lumix fz1000 ii camera

Panasonic has announced the introduction of a hybrid bridge camera, the Lumix FZ1000 II. The camera features a 1-inch large High Sensitivity MOS Sensor with a high S/N ratio, which enables it to capture clear images with minimum noise when shot at high ISO according to Panasonic. It also has a 16x optical zoom with Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens (35mm camera equivalent: 25-400mm), featuring 4K photo and 4K video recording at 30p or 24p in MP4. The camera’s Venus Engine features multiple noise reduction systems, such as Multi Process NR, a Random Filter, and an Aperture Filter, to achieve high colour reproduction and quality. L.Monochrome and L.Monochrome D modes are added to Photo Style, which Panasonic states make it possible to shoot dynamic monochrome photos with emphasised highlights and shadows while…

Leica has announced the Leica Q2 — the next-generation model of the Leica Q line of cameras — with a newly developed full-frame sensor, a fast Leica Summilux 28 mm f/1.7 ASPH. prime lens, fast autofocus and innovative OLED EVF viewfinder technology. The Leica Q2 is the only camera in its class with protective sealing against dust and water spray and equipped for shooting in all weather conditions. It features a 47.3 MP full-frame sensor that captures detailed still pictures and 4K video at sensitivities up to ISO 50,000 and a fast aperture of f/1.7. The Q2 has a locking element for manual or automatic focussing. For greater freedom in multiple shooting scenarios, the Q2 offers simple switching to macro mode, with a close focus distance of 17 cm.
