From standard definition, we moved on to High Definition and then to Full High Definition. 4K is now common, and soon we will be moving to 6K and 8K. High Dynamic Range adds to brightness levels and produces richer colours. Still photography seems to be missing out on this revolution. This makes it all the more likely that in the near future, the distinction between still and video photography will be blurred and excellent quality stills will be extracted from moving images. Fujifilm Announces Instax mini LiPlay Fujifilm has announced the Instax mini LiPlay, a hybrid instant camera that allows you to review photos captured on the device via the rear 2.7-inch LCD monitor and choose which images you want to print. The smallest and most lightweight camera in the instax series, the Instax mini LiPlay has 2560 x 1920 effective pixels, a 1/5-inch CMOS sensor, a 28 mm equivalent lens with an f/2.0 aperture, a single AF that is equipped with AF auxillary illumination, 1/4 sec to 1/8000 sec shutter speed and an auto ISO sensitivity from 100 to 1600. Born in February 1950, Swaranjeet Singh lived in Delhi for 35 years. In 1985, he moved to Bombay to set up a public limited company as Chief Executive for Supreme Industries, and in 1991, he set up Multibase India Limited, now owned by Dow Corning. In 2005, he decided to retire after a very hectic 20 years as CEO/MD and decided to have a life. In February 2010, on his 60th birthday, his wife gifted him his first camera (Canon EOS 7D and the 17-55 f/2.8 lens), and thus began his new life and love affair with photography.
