george & amal: is this the end?

Since the coronavirus pandemic swept the world, celebrities have handled lockdown in one of two ways. They’ve either stayed in the public eye, promoting their work over Zoom and on social media — or they’ve remained hidden from view amid the global slowdown, keeping their lives cloaked in privacy. George and Amal Clooney are among the latter – and now Woman’s Day can reveal why! It’s been five months since the couple have been photographed together in public. They were last seen walking on a Malibu beach with friends Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber on George’s 59th birthday in May, and another six months before that. But they’ve hardly been peacefully hunkered down with their three-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella. According to insiders, in the months leading up to their six-year wedding…

meghan & harry flee to frogmore!

On the one hand, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex insisted, as they did a runner from the UK in January, that they were seeking a life of privacy. On the other, they’ve recently been sharing several video appearances from within their new Montecito mansion, sheltered from the ravages of the coronavirus pandemic raging just outside their walls. “We are fortunate to have this time,” Meghan recently said about the COVID-19 lockdown, which has allowed the couple to be home to witness their 18-month-old son’s first words and steps while still raking in thousands from public appearances. And it seems that their somewhat tone-deaf appearances have been watched by countless people. Among them, two not-so sympathetic groups – the royal family back in England, and the fearsome Inland Revenue Service in the…

kate’s uncle slams the sussexes!

Gary Goldsmith – the controversial brother of the Duchess of Cambridge’s mum Carole Middleton – has let rip at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in a stunning social media tirade, describing them as “muppets craving attention”. According to the Daily Mail, Uncle Gary “lost his cool” when he read about the couple declaring Britain has a “structural racism” problem, in a video from their Montecito mansion. “Please shut the F up and bring up [your] child,” he wrote on LinkedIn. “Stop talking let alone demanding. Harry you have lost our love and respect. Meghan you are a wrong’n. Now hush please we are kinda busy saving lives and an economy.” The explosive post has since been deleted.…

a 12-minute workout fit for royalty

Earlier this year, the Duchess of Cornwall described her husband Prince Charles as being “fit as a mountain goat”, who, at age 71, can “out-walk anyone”. Woman’s Day has learned it’s all down to a military-style workout favoured by three generations of royals, from Prince Philip – who, at 99, is unlikely to do it any more – and Charles’ sons Prince William, 38, and Prince Harry, 36. And while it might seem intimidating, the Royal Canadian Air Force inspired exercise plan, called 5BX – Five Basic Exercises – only takes 12 minutes and was developed in the 1950s. The regimen, which includes stretches, sit-ups, back extensions, push-ups and running on the spot, is simple to follow, and there’s a version for women, called the XBX Plan for Physical Fitness. Stuart Roberts, author of…

george... a mini jamie oliver!

After debuting his interview skills in a video for Sir David Attenborough, fans were quick to note that Prince George’s accent isn’t like the Queen’s English of his posh parents. Instead, the seven-year-old was said to sound more like “lovely jubbly” British chef Jamie Oliver or comedian Ricky Gervais. “The accent [the Cambridge kids have], particularly George, sounds very like the southern standard British English with some features of Estuary English,” Reading University phonetics professor Jane Setter reveals. “William and Harry both have features of Estuary English in their accents.”…
