what makes me happy !

“True happiness can’t be bought!” This picture was taken at a local arts and crafts festival near a working mill and small creek. My daughter, who was just eight years old, wasn’t concerned about walking away with bags of goodies from the craft vendors or food tents there. Instead, her most prized mementos were a giant leaf she found under a tree, a cup full of shells from the creek bank and a small bag of colorful marbles. When life becomes stressful, I look at this picture. Her joy reminds me that true happiness can’t be bought! Do you have a happy moment to share? It has survived two world wars, a devastating fire and economic crises—and still today an estimated 600,000 people visit the theater each year to see the iconic French can-can dance, which was first performed there! • Seven-time Grammy-winner Toni Braxton was born in Maryland in 1967. Best known for hits “Un-Break My Heart,” “You Mean the World to Me” and “Breathe Again,” her big break came when a music…
