join our # mum tribe want to have some fun? come on in!

Here at M&B HQ, we’ve been getting pretty tired of seeing all those too-good-to-be-true family photos on social, so we thought we’d gather all of us real mums together, and do something about it! #mumtribe is where real mums like you and us get together to share what life is really like as a mum. It’s a closed Facebook group, so only other mums who’ve signed up can see what you post. And we pop all the photos into a gallery so you can see that life for all of us other mums is just the same as it is for you. Which we reckon will help us all feel like we’re doing a fab job at this mum business, instead of wondering why our lives seem so chaotic…

m&b’s fave mum! giovanna fletcher

Becoming a mum is a magical time filled with newborn snuggles and the knowledge that your body grew this perfect little being – but sometimes it can be overwhelming. Start conversations! It’s a huge change in lifestyle and responsibilities. There can be moments where you question everything you’re doing and just want to hide in the kitchen cupboard and ram Chocolate Hobnobs in your mouth to block it all out. I’ve been there. In the very early days I can remember the midwives really prying into how I was feeling – I smiled and told them all was rosy, even though I was shattered and broken. I felt like I was the only one ‘getting it wrong’, the only one who didn’t have a textbook baby and the only…

louise pentland where do i start?

How glorious has it been to see the sunshine? I’ve had to shave my legs out of their winter hibernation and whip out the fake tan… cue weird evening in the en suite with Liam (my boyfriend), a tanning mitt and then my very over-bronzed back. I’m never asking for ‘help’ again! I really love matching outfits! Most importantly though, my girls, Pearl, one, and Darcy, eight, have been living their best life in the sunshine, wearing little matching summer outfits! I. Love. Summer! This month we’ve been making the most of the longer days and taking every opportunity to get out of the house. We live in Northamptonshire, so while we lack a big city centre, we certainly don’t lack green space, and we’ve been exploring the country parks…

How cute does my son, Fraser, look enjoying a visit to our friend’s farm, which was full of snowdrops! I have been reading Mother&Baby since my mum bought me a subscription when I fell pregnant. I look forward to it arriving every month, and I found the product testing really useful when making decisions about baby products during my pregnancy. Then Fraser arrived and the sleep features were the ones I always read first! Fraser is now almost one and I still read it cover to cover the day it arrives. I’ve kept all of my old copies, and love looking back at them for recipe inspiration now that we are enjoying our weaning journey. Thank you, Mother&Baby, for being there every step of the way!RACHAEL CRABB, ANGUS Rachel…
