Best known for… Juliette played battleaxe Pearl Sibshaw in BBC1’s long-running sitcom Last of the Summer Wine from 1985 until the show ended in 2010. Sharp-tongued Pearl was always trying to stop her husband, Howard (Robert Fyfe), from having affairs… Other achievements… In 2015, she turned up in Coronation Street, playing Beth Tinker’s grandmother Agnes. She’d also had roles in Brookside, London’s Burning and Doctors. Family life… Juliette died aged 80 on 10 October in Kent. Her husband, Harold Hoser, died in 1981 when she was aged 42.
