no one lusts after vera!

new VERA Sunday, 8pm ITV Drama Q What intriguing cases is Vera solving this series? A There are four cracking stories – we have got blackmail, corruption, gambling, all sorts! The first case is about a businessman called Freddie Gill, who’s found dead in his home. We filmed that on top of the moors in the highest pub in the UK, Tan Hill Inn. It was beautiful up there. Q This is the 10th series. What’s the secret of the show’s huge success? A It’s good family viewing and it concentrates on the crime – it doesn’t dwell on the private lives of the main characters. Also no one’s sitting at home lusting after Vera! The wives may lust after Kenny Doughty [DS Aiden Healy] but then the husbands love it when Vera gives him a…
