SCRIPTED BLOSSOMS BY EDNA MORRISEDIE Featured on page 18 “The large majority of my projects always start with ‘which stamp will I be using today’ and this was definitely the case with my Scripted Blossoms cards. I had swooned over these sentiment stamps for a while before I treated myself, these stamps mean so much to me and I wanted to give them a good first outing! I like to incorporate handmade elements on my cards where possible, so I handmade the flowers in this project and brought them to life using another of my recent purchases - shimmerz watercolours. I planned the cards from the top layer down to the base layer using my standard approach, I kept the leaves the same tones and incorporated a wash of grey and coral tones…

Masking with Washi Tape 1 Mask off areas you don’t want to ink using washi or low-tack tape. 2 Ink the stamp as usual. 3 Remove the tape, being careful not to smudge the ink on the stamp. 4 Stamp the image on card. 5 Cover the areas already stamped using more washi tape, then ink the stamp again using a different coloured ink pad. 6 Remove the washi tape carefully and stamp it over the top of previous image, aligning the details. Thinking of You BY THERESE CALVIRD Most stamp sets on the market now have large and smaller images of a particular theme, bring them all together with a wash of watercolour. METHOD 1 Place smooth watercolour paper 150mm x 105mm on work area, secure it down covering 5mm around all the edges using low take tape. 2 Stamp Altenew Garden Grow images over the panel using Archival jet black ink, letting some images go off the edges as shown. 3 Colour the images with Kuretake gansai tambi paints, let it dry. 4 Die-cut the same images from Inkadinkado stamp masking paper using the matching Altenew die set and adhere them temporarily over the corresponding stamped images. 5 Colour the exposed areas surrounding the images with a wash of yellow tambi paint, let dry. 6 Dab dark brown paint on…
