Shane Warne, the greatest bowler in Australian cricket history, joins FOX CRICKET’s all-star commentary team for an incredible summer of sport on Foxtel. Warnie brings his sharp eye and tactical analysis as we broadcast the Australia vs South Africa Gillette One-Day International, ad-free and in 4K# for the first time ever, on November 4. We’re thrilled he’s part of the talented team bringing you an incredible cricket experience like never before. There’s plenty of drama off-pitch, too, with the historical time travel favourite Outlander returning, plus we delve into the spiralling world of Hollywood fixer Ray Donovan with the latest season and steel ourselves for psychological thriller Castle Rock (it’s edge-of-your-seat stuff!). And as Australia’s wildlife warrior family continue Steve’s legacy in their new series Crikey! It’s the Irwins, Terri, Bindi and…

SNEAK PEEK ROOKIES NO MORE Outback Opal Hunters’ plucky participants put it all on the line as the search for the mother lode continues The life of a prospector is hardly a stable one, their livelihoods resting rather precariously on their ability to strike it rich from sifting through tons of rock for priceless gems. But for the stars of Discovery Channel’s Outback Opal Hunters, things are definitely looking up. Hot off the heels of a successful first outing earlier this year, the series has been renewed for a second season – set to air in 2019. Among those hitting the tools again in search of the valuable jewels are ‘The Rookies’ – Daniel Becker and Justin Lang (both pictured, from far left) – who admit they are still “on a high after hitting our…

the need for speed

“I was first attracted to the action on the Supercars track; the cars, the drivers, the speed. But then I learnt about what was happening behind the scenes – the engineers and the pit crew – and I was hooked. I decided to study automotive engineering and I was the only woman to graduate in my year. I knew this was an industry with lots of men, but I like to think it’s changing. You do need to prove yourself a little more if you are a woman, prove you belong, but that’s made me more resilient in my career. At Red Bull, I’m a performance and data engineer and I’m responsible for the electronics in the car. I program the computer inside the car to make sure everything works perfectly. Then,…

My current TV obsession is… Big Little Lies. That’s the show that when I’m going on an aeroplane or something, I have to make sure that I have it downloaded on the iPad so at least I can have something to watch. Or when the kids aren’t around or if they’re asleep, I’m like, ‘Great, this is my time!’ I can’t wait for the second season. When I watch TV I must have… the remote! My husband [actor Alexis Denisof] doesn’t know how to work it. There are a handful of shows that I’ll watch when I’m doing cardio or when I fall asleep with the kids, [but otherwise] we watch the same programs. My dream television-watching companion is… My husband’s definitely my ideal companion. He makes really good popcorn. I don’t…
