It really doesn’t matter what you like to knit, or how many knit miles you’ve got under your wings, you are more than welcome in the Simply Knitting gang, in fact we love having you all here! Rachel is the co-founder of UK Alpaca, which makes yarns from British alpaca fleeces Up early or slow to rise? Up at 7am but I need at least two mugs of tea, a bath with bubbles and breakfast before I leave at 9am for the office – a good 100 yards away! First job of the day? Turn on the computer and then head for the barn to feed the alpacas. Check for any newborns in the herd. Mid-morning pick-me-up? More tea. Gaze at the view across our Devon valley. Check how our yarn processing is going. Leisurely lunchtime? No lunch for me. Post-lunch priorities? Grading alpaca fleeces – we get through 10,000kg a year. Contemplate new yarn colours or pattern commissions. Fave way to sit back and take five? Alpacas are great time-wasters so an…
