These models look like slow cookers and often include the slow cooker function. They are easy to set and require no further supervision. BROWN AND SAUTÉ Most models have a sauté function that allows you to brown meat and sauté veggies without using another pan. Cook in batches to prevent overcrowding, which steams rather than caramelizes. EVERYTHING IN Once the meat is browned, add other ingredients as directed in your recipe. Lock the lid in place; adjust the pressure valve to the closed position. Select the setting and time.
