The Department of Agriculture yesterday announced that it was temporarily suspending, with immediate effect, the implementation of the Presi- dential Employment Stimulus (PES) vouchers. Department of Agriculture spokesperson Reggie Ngcobo yesterday said the programme had been halted due to complaints received from farmers who felt they were being ripped off by suppliers. “We give farmers the names of supplier shops and a list of items the voucher covers.
