Leafing through previous copies of our magazine, I happened upon last February’s editor’s letter, written by our editorial director Sarah Spiteri. In it, she expressed how she believed that the shift towards seeing our homes as sanctuaries was a permanent one. Twelve months on and, indeed, home continues to be unprecedentedly important as a place of comfort. And at the same time, it has perhaps never before been under such scrutiny – with particular attention on small rooms that aren’t quite fulfilling their potential. Hence, this issue’s theme.
