Rumours have been swirling for a while that Apple is planning to launch a 15-inch MacBook Air, but recent weeks have seen not one but two disappointing developments on this front. If true, they could point towards a laptop less powerful than some people had hoped. Firstly, well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed that he expects the 15-inch MacBook Air to come with an M2 chip in two different configurations. Kuo originally suggested the 15-inch MacBook Air could get a beefier M2 Pro chip. Kuo also believes that Apple’s M3 chip will enter mass production in the second half of 2023, so the 15-inch MacBook Air will almost certainly miss out. While the iPhone 14 Pro Max currently maxes out with a 6.7-inch screen, even bigger displays may be in store if rumours are anything to go by. Display industry analyst Ross Young (who has a reliable track record) believes that future iPhone displays could reach 6.3-inch on the iPhone 16 Pro and 6.9-inch on iPhone 16 Pro Max this September, making both the biggest-screen iPhone models that Apple has ever made.
