SOMETIMES LIFE IMITATES art. But mostly art imitates life, so it’s little surprise to discover the themes at the heart of Anatomy of a Scandal resonate with its star Sienna Miller, whose 20s were spent at the eye of a tabloid media storm. In her interview on page 12, Miller tells us the “public humiliation and betrayal” her character, a long-suffering Tory cabinet minister’s wife called Sophie, deals with, “are not unfamiliar to me”. While the wider themes of the drama – dishonesty, power, privilege – may be universal, not all of us can identify with what it feels like to be subjected to the kind of scrutiny that Sophie encounters – and Miller experienced for real. Meanwhile, her co-star Naomi Scott tells us what it was like to play the victim…
