Summer may be over, but wedding season continues, and I’m thrilled this week to share with you the marriage of 1 News reporter Kimberlee Downs and her Newshub competitor Ollie Ritchie. Though they fight fiercely to produce the country’s best sporting stories for their rival networks each week, away from work, they really are the perfect match, as you’ll read on page 20. Bake Off judge Prue Leith claims former Friends star David Schwimmer concentrated on cake-making, not friend-making, during his appearance on the hit UK cooking show. The 56-year-old actor starred on The Great Celebrity Bake Off alongside Kiwi comedian Rose Matafeo to raise money for cancer research.
