Gift Wrap Create your own artsy wrapping paper using butcher paper, filler paper, crepe paper (p. 94), solid-color gift wrap, gift bags, paper sacks, and treat bags. 1 MULTICOLOR BRUSHSTROKES Use artists brushes to apply different colors of acrylic paint. 2 SPLATTER PAINT Dip a toothbrush or stiffbristled brush into acrylic paint mixed with a bit of water. Pull back on the brush bristles with your fingers and flick the paint onto the paper. 3 STAMPING Stamp acrylic paint onto solid-color paper using a pencil eraser (opposite) or an old clothespin (below). 4 MONOCHROMATIC BRUSHSTROKES Use an artists brush to apply one color of acrylic paint. 5 BRUSH MARKERS Jazz up white butcher paper with fun waterbase ink markers. 6 STAMP OUTLINES Dip a cookie cutter in acrylic paint to make a clever stamp. HOT MOCHA COCOA MIX START TO FINISH 15 minutes 3 cups nonfat dry milk powder3 cups sifted powdered sugar1½ cups unsweetened cocoa powder⅔ cup instant coffee crystals1 tsp. salt1 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips 1. In an extra-large bowl stir together first five ingredients (through salt). Divide mixture among five pint jars or gift bags. Divide chocolate chips among jars or gift bags. Store at room temperature up to 3 months. Makes 5 (1⅔-cup) jars of mix. HOT COCOA MIX Prepare as directed, except omit coffee crystals. MAKE YOUR COCOA!
