WILLOW CROSSLEY Florist and writer Willow Crossley’s life is something of a twenty-first-century pastoral fantasy – as well as her work as a floral stylist, she runs two country pubs, has published three books and lives in a Cotswold farmhouse. Growing up in Wales, Willow had an affinity for nature from a young age, but it was not until she was writing her second book on nature-inspired decorating that she decided to focus fully on flowers. The eagle-eyed among you may have spotted my migration from the pages of decoration to the position of acting editor while Hatta Byng spends a few months at home with her new baby. It is a rare luxury to be able to take a step back from one’s ‘day job’ and see it objectively for a while as a component part in a bigger picture, rather than the thing around which everything else revolves.
