I wish I could tout this as an April Fools’ joke, but the sad truth is that this is the final issue of Motorcycle Bagger. Our magazine will cease publication with this, the April 2015issue, which also happens to be the 37th edition. We launched this publication during spring of 2010,and to highlight the occasion, we in-serted a new-model bagger buyer’ sguide that included a bagger definition, as penned by the big bearded guy onour staff, Joe Knezevic. Big Joe wrote inissue number one that a bagger was“ any two-wheeled motorcycle thatcomes from the manufacturer with saddlebags as stock equipment.” Wesubsequently expanded that to includetrikes that offer on-board storage for rider and passenger. think ahead while you ride

From time to time, one of my Ride Like a Pro class graduates will ask me to take him out on the street to evaluatehis street riding skills. Recently, one of my students made sucha request. I’ll call him “Jim.” Jim exhibited some excellent ridingskills while taking my Ride Like a Procourse. In fact, during his second classsession I tightened up all the exerciseparameters for him to the standard 18'motor officer dimensions. With thecourse that tight, a rider must use thehead and eyes, friction zone, and rearbrake techniques to the extreme to com-plete the exercises without disrupting orknocking over any cones. A popular series of Internet memes from a couple of yearsago featured photos of various professions and hobbies cap-tioned with statements like “What my friends think I do,” “What society thinks I do,” and so on. Never one to miss out (and obviously having way too muchtime on my hands), I created my ownmeme, titled “Biker” (to see it, go to myweb site and type the word meme in thesearch field). For the caption “What Ithink I do,” I used a photo from themovie Easy Rider showing Peter Fondaand Dennis Hopper cruising throughthe desert on their badass choppers. ADAM SERAPHINE HAD A PLAN for his Street Glide, and it was a simple plan. Basically, nothing was supposed to happen. When Adam bought his 2013 Harley-Davidson FLHXStreet Glide from Twin Cities Harley-Davidson in Lakeville, Minnesota, the plan was to keep it rela-tively stock. He wasn’t going to do anything butride it and clock up miles.
