Follow me on Twitter@MrJessCagle Last year Natasha Stoynoff, a former People writer, wrote of a harrowing incident in 2005 when Donald Trump physically attacked her. It happened when she was interviewing Trump and his then-pregnant wife Melania at Mar-a-Lago. While Stoynoff and Trump were briefly alone, he suddenly shut the door “and within seconds he was pushing me against the wall and forcing his tongue down my throat,” Stoynoff wrote. A butler interrupted, and as Stoynoff struggled to regain her composure, Trump told her, “You know we’re going to have an affair, don’t you?” At the time, Stoynoff felt ashamed and did not inform her bosses atPeople. Eleven years later, after Trump’s infamousAccess Hollywood tape surfaced while he was running for President, Stoynofffelt compelled to tell her story.Thecandidatenot only denied it,…

The Obamas What a lovely surprise to open my mailbox and look at the smiling faces of the Obamas. With all that’s going on since they left the White House, it made me so happy for them but also made me miss them even more. DebFeiner Mission Viejo, Calif. How wonderful to see the Obamas again and to catch up on what they’ve been continuing to work on in order to make America a better place. StuartBrumbaugh via e-mail I’m a Republican, but reading about the Obamas made me nostalgic for the days when we had a President who was so cool, calm and collected Perry Ciment Miami Beach While I realize there are readers who are interested in what the former First Family is doing since leaving the White House, it should still be possible to…

LOVELIVES ON Amy Krouse Rosenthal and Jason Rosenthal in July 2015 before her diagnosis. He says he was “emotionallyripped apart” by her words. Amy Krouse Rosenthal’s love story (People, March 20, 2017) is headed to the big screen. Universal has secured the film rights to Rosenthal’s New York Times “Modern Love” column “You May Want to Marry My Husband,” published just 10 days before she died from ovarian cancer on March 13. Marc Platt, the veteran producer behind the Oscar-winning La La Land, will produce the adaptation, based on Amy’s heartbreaking “dating profile” for husband Jason Rosenthal. “Like everyone else, I was inspired by Amy’s poignant words and her spirited philosophy for living. I look forward to collaborating with her family [and] celebrating her life and legacy,” Platt said. The family also…

her new romance! how she kept it secret

AFTER A VERY PUBLIC breakup with deejay Calvin Harris and a subsequenthigh-profile romance with actor Tom Hiddleston, Taylor Swift is trying a new romantic strategy. Multiple sources confirm toPeople that the “Shake It Off” singer, 27, has been secretly dating British actor Joe Alwyn, 26, for several months—and this time around going to great lengths to keep the relationship away from prying eyes. “Taylor has been insanely private with Joe,” says a Swift source. “She wanted to get to know him without any chaos.” Last summer the Grammy winner’s courtship with Hiddleston, 36, thrust her into the spotlight as the pair jetted around the world and had their every move documented. But with Alwyn “she has learned from the past,” says the source, who adds that Swift has been flying to…
