Uniqueness, beauty, distinction, finesse and well-being can also be expressed through wine and the vineyards they hail from. We seek out, select and describe these wines for the enjoyment of these discerning consumers. Lugares con belleza singular, que son especiales. VIAJE DE SUMILLERES A MARQUÉS DE RISCAL In the last quarter of 2018, Bodegas de los Herederos del Marqués de Riscal hosted a visit from a party of sommeliers that included some of the most well-known names on the Spanish wine scene. Over the 2-day visit, the winery explained the philosophy with which it has been working for 160 years.The group visited the 1883 cellars where Francisco Hurtado de Amézaga, the winery’s technical and production director, told them about their single plot system, the importance of the work on the vine and in the vineyards, the sorting of the grapes, and the ageing in barrel.Afterwards, they visited the world’s oldest wine cellar and were able to see one of the oldest wine collections in the world for themselves.The sommeliers…
