I’d like to begin with a celebration. This issue marks Quiltmaker’s 200th issue. Our magazine has evolved over the years, but it remains a steadfast part of the quilting community. What an amazing accomplishment by all of the talented people who have worked on this publication over the course of 39 years, with a very special thanks to our founder, Bonnie Leman. I feel humbled to walk in the footsteps of the editors who have come before me and consider it a privilege to work on Quiltmaker magazine. Now on to this issue. It’s our 200th issue and look how far we’ve come. The first issue was the Spring/Summer 1982 issue and contained 14 patterns. It cost a whopping $3! It’s amazing to see how things have changed over these 39 years! 6 editors over Quiltmaker’s lifetime more than 10 years of Addicted to Scraps 2869+ unique patterns published, and we’re still going!
