These days, Spanish cuisine is at a crossroads for a number of reasons. We all know that Spanish cooking has been greatly influenced by chefs like Juan Mari Arzak and Ferran Adrià. A wine that’s as delicate as the flower that graces its label, with grenache giving it a fresh flavor and aroma. Larrosa from Bodegas Izadi has already proven itself to be a classic for the last throes of winter. It’s a wine that’s here to tell us that the cold weather is on its way out, and it’s time for something fresh and light on the table. Izadi has crafted this wine with one hundred percent grenache grapes. Carefully harvested by hand from a selection of 45-year-old vines, the grapes come from what may be the highest vineyards of the D.O.Ca. Rioja, at 790 meters above sea level.
