I’ve come to realize that you have to be a tea lover to understand why drinking it hot during summer is so enjoyable. While iced tea is certainly nice, I find a cup of hot tea to be soothing, relaxing, and refreshing regardless of the season or the weather. Contributing Editor Bruce Richardson’s article about some of the best places for tea in Waikiki, Hawaii, (page 48) inspired Janet Lambert, our resident recipe developer and food stylist, to create the menu for “An Aloha Teatime” (page 39), as well as a mango and lime–flavored gluten-free scone (page 47).
