the collaboration louis vuitton & the art of style

Louis Vuitton has given new meaning to ‘art nouveau’ with its recently launched limited-edition handbags. The luxury house has given six contemporary artists carte blanche to reimagine its Capucines bag, named after the street in Paris on which Louis Vuitton opened his first store. There’s something in the Artycapucines Collection to suit every taste, with styles by Urs Fischer, Jonas Wood, Nicholas Hlobo, Alex Israel, Sam Falls and Tschabalala Self, who join the long list of artists who have worked with Vuitton in the past. (Previous collaborations include Stephen Sprouse, Yayoi Kusama and Jeff Koons.) Only 3OO of each Artycapucines Collection bag exists globally, though. So move fast if you want one – or risk finding yourself ‘artbroken. louisvuitton.com…

high summer

If you could describe summer in a sense, what would it be? Would it be the sight of your local green space suddenly overflowing with pre-mixed cocktail cans, tubs of hummus and bare legs? Would it be the sound of the ice-cream van, or the taste of a Mr Whippy (with a Flake, of course)? Or would it be the unmistakable scent of the sun cream that’s been there with you through every single beach break, alfresco brunch and sun-soaked destination wedding? “THIS ULTRA-LIGHT FORMULA IS BOTH SWEAT-AND WATER-RESISTANT” When it comes to SPF, no one does it better than Hawaiian Tropic. From moisturising sun lotions to dry oil sprays, there’s a cream or spritz for every summer situation. If you’re the type to migrate towards the beach as soon as the sun…
