EDITOR IN CHIEF At last, the weather is warming up over most parts of the U.S., the days are slowly getting longer, and flowers are starting to bloom. Which can only mean that spring has officially sprung. For our ancestors, this season would have been marked by a welcome shift in day-to-day life, from sleeping many hours a day bundled against the cold to venturing out to gather fresh plants and vegetables that haven’t been available for months. Like our ancestors, I’m looking forward to trading in my winter root veggies for spring’s colorful berries and greens.
