MORELLI BROTHERS Milan-based fashion photographers Luca and Alessandro Morelli have worked with the likes of Naomi Campbell, Emilia Clarke and Kylie Jenner. This month, the Morelli duo shot an array of feathers, sequins and alluring ensembles from fashion’s latest ready-to-wear collections. ‘We loved the classic Chanel look and the big polka-dot Dolce & Gabbana gown.’ And what’s it really like working with a family member? ‘Knowing each other better than anyone else is the best – and worst – thing about working with your brother,’ says Alessandro. RACHEL DELOACHE WILLIAMS Born and raised in Tennessee, Rachel DeLoache Williams moved to New York in 2010 for her dream job as Picture Editor at Vanity Fair. There, she worked with the industry’s leading professionals, but an encounter with Russian-born fraudster Anna Delvey proved the most…

high summer

With the Solstice looming, royals, rock stars and an all-but-naked, ivy-clad rebel (designer Philip Sallon) flocked to the V&A Summer Party, hosted by Tristram Hunt and Nicholas Coleridge, and sponsored by Dior. In the John Madejski Garden, whispers rippled in the wake of the former Prime Minister, as Dame Joan Collins posed beside a topiary mannequin and Stevie Nicks left even the most practiced Society darlings star-struck. The Windsor contingent (Lord Freddie, Lady Gabriella, Lady Amelia and cousin Cassius Taylor) held court and Joy Cookes’ performance on the flower-garlanded pagoda had Saddle bags swinging.…

auction packed

Old friends and new alighted on St James’s when Tatler Editor Richard Dennen hosted a dinner to celebrate Christie’s Luxury Week at its King Street headquarters, sealing a centuries-old alliance. After all, it was in the same postcode that Tatler and the auction house were both founded in the 1700s. With rooms packed full of historic Birkin bags and Vuitton trunks, Sabine Getty, dressed in YSL from Catherine Deneuve’s collection, perused mega jewels. An intimate supper was served in the hallowed boardroom on tables bedecked with summer blooms and the drinks were curated, naturally, by Christie’s expert wine department.…

la vie en rose

In what turned out to be this summer’s most popular party theme, Bruern became Blackrock City for one night only as Rose van Cutsem turned 40 with a Burning Man-themed party. The Astor clan, Poppy Keswick, Jeremy Clarkson and Alex James arrived in a sea of feathers, sequins and the odd mohawk for Trailer Trash burgers, a riotous speech from Jeanie Cordy-Simpson and DJ sets from Ben Bridgewater and Sophie Gallagher. ‘There was a lot of love in the long grasses,’ said Rose (resplendent in a futuristic silver dress), ‘but what happens in Rosestock stays in Rosestock.’…

the full monty

Nevada Desert debauchery came to the South Downs for a night as Monty Pearson celebrated his 22nd birthday with a Burning Man-themed party at home at Cowdray. The theme was interpreted in a whirl of sequins, glitter and bare flesh, with Kitty Alexander’s dalmatian-print coat leading the best-dressed stakes. Canapés were on the terrace and dinner on long tables in Buck Hall, after which came a spontaneous performance from Monty’s sister Catty, who leapt up to join the band. The crowd then danced into the early hours in the aptly named Morning Room.…
