Hey TGs! Once upon a time, I did ballet. Was I good at ballet? No, I was not. You guys, I was terrible, amazingly bad, an awful dancer. Maybe the worst. But I still loved dancing and, you know what, I think there’s something good about trying (and even struggling) with something you find hard, but that you want to do anyway. This is the BIG LEAPS issue and it’s for the girls who love to move. Ever think about how every big leap is made up of smaller ones? Think about it and bust a move today! XO Claire and Team TG TGHQ has a new mascot, Rosie’s puppy Koda! Hi, Koda, welcome to Team TG! We are very excited to have you. First up, can you tell us a bit about yourself? I’m…

totally embarrassing

No clue at all I was in Year 5 and on the last day of school we played board games as a special treat. I was playing Cluedo with my friend and my crush. I went to grab my water bottle from the other classroom and when I got back, I dropped my water and it spilled ALl OVER my crush!!! Luckily, it didn’t wet the game but OMTG I was soooo embarrassed! My friend will never ever let me live it down! Leah Pass the sanitiser! We were at the oval setting up tee-ball and as I was chasing after my friend, I sprained my ankle! I was lying on the floor and didn’t realise that I put my hand in a pile of dog poop. It was on my shirt as well!…

HERE COME THE MEN IN BLACK Awww, yasss. If a comedy sci-fi adventure sounds like your (space) jam, get excited about Men in Black: International – we know we are. With Chris Hemsworth ( Thor: Ragnarok, Ghostbusters) playing a veteran (yet kinda silly) agent opposite rookie recruit Tessa Thompson (also Thor: Ragnarok), you know you’re in for some intergalactic giggles. Turn to page 24 to read heaps more and find out if you’re secret agent material on page 26. The galaxy needs you, TGs! GIMME SOME KINDA SLIME GIRL Yep, we’re still crazy for all things squeezy, gluey and oh so gooey. Get oozy with your own fun kits – these are some of our faves – or play with some ready-made stuff that comes with a little toy, ca-ute! JETÉ IS BAE TGs, we…

straw no more

Name: Molly Age: 11 Hometown: Cairns, Qld I used to think straws were not a big deal, because they are so small, but then I found out that they’re actually a really big problem. My mum took me to see a movie called A Plastic Ocean in 2017, and that’s where I first learned about the problems plastic causes when it gets in the ocean. Plastic straws can’t be recycled easily and being plastic, they will never break down entirely. Plastic doesn’t break down, it can only break up into smaller pieces of plastic called microplastic. Turtles are my favourite animal, and when I saw a video of a straw stuck up a turtle’s nose, I started to understand how much damage straws can do to animals in the ocean. Also, plastic that’s in…
